Kevin and Sofia Flannery (sommelier couple) opened Vinyl Steakhouse on West 19th Street in 2023, building the dining room around a 2,000+ LP collection played in full sides on a vintage hi-fi rig — an iPad gets passed table-to-table for guest record selection. The steak program is accessibly-priced: five cuts under $60, including a dry-aged NY strip, a Cajun wet-aged ribeye, and an 8.5oz filet at $55 under Executive Chef Alexander Lord-Flynn (CIA grad, ex-Jules Bistro). Two in-house sommeliers run the steakhouse-leaning wine list; the cocktail program is a supporting amenity rather than co-headlining the steak/wine spine. A sister concept, VINILE Chophouse, opened February 2025 on 17th Street as the Italian-inspired chophouse extension. For a Flatiron steakhouse where the vinyl program is the cultural draw and the sommelier ownership runs the wine spine.
