TAO Group's chef-led French-Mediterranean dining room inside the Moxy East Village, opened May 1, 2019 with Executive Chef Jason Hall — Gotham Bar & Grill, Anthos, and Craft pedigree — running coastal Southern France with brushstrokes of Italy, Spain, and Greece: Baked Red Snapper Provençal, Rotisserie Chicken Chasseur, Black Truffle Fettuccine. The subterranean main dining room sits beneath Edoardo Tresoldi's "Fillmore" wire-mesh installation — a 26-foot triple-height ceiling rendered as a ghost cathedral dome — under Rockwell Group's open-kitchen and copper-and-dark-blue palette. Wine Spectator Restaurant Award for four consecutive years through 2025; no Michelin, no NYT critic's review on record. As the 4th TAO Group NYC catalog row alongside The Fleur Room, The Highlight Room, and Sake no Hana — all vibe-distinct rooftop or lounge entries — Cathédrale is the operator's first chef-led dining-room slot. For TAO's serious-kitchen entry, where the Tresoldi installation and the Jason Hall pedigree both work as substance.
