The altar is now the bar. Inside a reimagined 1860s chapel off Park Avenue South, Roman and Williams have conjured a cocktail temple of jewel tones, velvet, and soaring Gothic arches — where a former confessional serves as a VIP room and a DJ plays where the organ once stood. The drinks lean into the setting: Chartreuse, Bénédictine, champagne — spirits with monastic and priestly lineage, poured "at the altar." Once the members-only lounge of the Fotografiska museum, it now runs independently, tucked behind an unmarked door and open a few evenings a week. Sacrilegious, in all the right ways.
