James Trees built Esther's Kitchen as the Arts District anchor that legitimized Vegas's off-Strip dining scene — USA Today named it 2026 Restaurant of the Year, the latest major recognition for the program after multi-time JBF Best Chef Southwest honors. Trees moved into a new 2.0 build at 1131 S. Main St in March 2024, doubling the room while keeping the fresh-pasta-and-Italian-small-plates program intact (the cacio e pepe, the rigatoni alla zozzona, the Esther's bread service).
