A 16-seat subterranean ramen bar hidden beneath Green Street Smoked Meats in the West Loop — Brendan Sodikoff's Hogsalt group built it (named for a Tokyo bar) around a rich tonkotsu broth made as spicy as you can handle, with chili, sansho, and Sichuan heat. No reservations, walk-in only, gloriously cramped. Come for a fiery bowl in one of the city's best hidden ramen dens.
