Roscioli NYC opened in July 2023 on MacDougal Street as the four-generation Roman family's first outpost outside Italy — a partnership between the Roscioli siblings and Greenwich Village hospitality operator Ariel Arce, taking over the former Niche Niche space. Tommaso Fratini cooks from Rome's playbook with ex-Niche Niche chef Aaron Lirette; the menu pivots on textbook cucina romana — carbonara, cacio e pepe, amatriciana, gricia — anchored by an upstairs Alimentari counter (300 cheeses, 200 cured meats) and a wine-cellar dining program that channels Rome's Rimessa Roscioli. Star Wine List of the Year named Roscioli NYC a 2026 New York finalist for the wine program. For Roman cucina romana from the family that built it in the Centro Storico, transposed to MacDougal Street without dilution.
