Major Food Group opened Sadelle's on West Broadway in SoHo in January 2015, naming the room for Jeff Zalaznick's great-grandmother — Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi's Jewish-appetizing brunch institution. The bagel program runs from a glass-walled production behind the dining room, with the signature move a tiered tower stacked with unlimited bagels and smoked fish — lox, salmon, whitefish — plated on stands of the kind you'd expect under a chilled seafood plateau. French toast, triple-decker sandwiches, and chopped salads round out an all-day menu defined by brunch service and the loudest "hot bagels" chant in SoHo. The Infatuation gives it an 8.2; no Michelin, no NYT review — the editorial substance is the format and the bagel theater. MFG's brunch register among the operator's six NYC catalog rows (Carbone, Torrisi, The Lobby Bar, Lobster Club, Dirty French complete the family). For NYC's hardest weekend brunch reservation.
