Catch Hospitality Group (Tilman Fertitta + Mark Birnbaum + Eugene Remm) opened The Corner Store on West Broadway in SoHo in September 2024 as the operator's most-talked-about NYC table of 2024-25 — Rockwell Group-designed chevron wood floors, green velvet banquettes, and retro-NYC-nostalgia register. Chef-team Michael Vignola, Paul Castro (ex-Catch + Nobu), and Marjorie Meek-Bradley (ex-Pastis corporate chef) run elevated nostalgic American comfort food: pizza rolls and French dips, Reuben bites and sundaes, alongside a raw bar, butcher's counter, and a $40 tableside Martini Service that has become the signature pour. No Michelin, no NYT review, no Eater Essential — the editorial substance is the scene and the Catch operator pedigree. Infatuation gave it an 8.2 "Great" with the right framing: "The Cheesecake Factory in a more scene-obsessed tax bracket." Reservations drop two weeks out and evaporate; a 4pm line for the 13-seat bar and Taylor Swift / Gigi Hadid sightings have made it the downtown table to be at. For SoHo's hardest-to-book scene restaurant — Catch's chevron-floor clubstaurant where the room and the operator pedigree are the editorial.
